projection
You judge your future self by your current needs.
Projection bias causes people to overestimate the degree to which their future tastes and preferences will resemble their current ones.
If you are hungry, you overestimate how much food you will need to buy for a week. You treat your current state as the permanent state of your future self.
You are a stranger to your future desires.
