The false uniqueness effect leads you to overestimate how rare your own positive traits and abilities actually are.

While you overestimate how much others agree with your beliefs, you simultaneously assume your talents are rare. You view yourself as an outlier in ability while insisting you are a peer in opinion.

You like to believe your strengths are uniquely yours.
