Temptation bundling increases adherence to difficult tasks by combining them with immediate gratification.

In a 2013 study, participants who were allowed to listen to their favorite audiobooks only while at the gym visited the gym significantly more often. By linking a 'should' to a 'want,' you remove the struggle of self-regulation. You are effectively tricking your brain into enjoying the work.

You need a treat to make your responsibilities tolerable.
