The spacing effect, first studied systematically by Hermann Ebbinghaus in 1885, demonstrates that information is retained longer when study sessions are distributed over time rather than massed.

The claim is overstated because it uses modern educational vernacular and claims it as an Ebbinghaus finding.

Consistency is a better teacher than intensity.
